Scarborough Renaissance Festival is a Renaissance-themed festival that occurs yearly in 16th century English village built in Waxahachie, TX. The festival hosts a variety of events, artisans, games, and shops while open, all of which mostly tie into the festival's historical theme. The brief publication I designed addresses Scarborough's need for an updated visual style and advertising handouts and seeks to garner more attendance and revenue for the festival. Historic images are used to tie into the festival's theme, each one rendered as a bitmap and then flooded with color. Each page of the publication has a title in a thematic font applied to a bitmapped image and explanatory text written out in an easier-to-read sans serif font.
